Unusual green Pup 'Pistachio' born in Italy
This season was an erratic individual, to say the very least.
But things got even stranger to Italian farmer Cristian Mallocci if his puppy Spelacchia, gave birth to a pup with fur.
The very small pooch was instantly named Pistachio.
The pup was a part of a five-dog mess born in the farm around the southern island of Sardinia. Pistachio’s sisters and brothers had white furthe identical color as their mom.
A puppy born with green fur is extremely rare. It’s thought to be due to the puppy using a green pigment called biliverdin whilst in the uterus.

However, – in what’s going to come as sad news for several – Pistachio’s color has already begun to fade, and will keep doing so.
Mr Mallocci has opted to give away all of the dogs, besides Pistachio, that can assist him herd cattle on the farm.
Green is a color of hope and fortune, he included – something a lot people can do with just a tiny bit more of at 2020.
